Allthough it is possible to convert the SQVI reports to SAP Queries,\u00a0 maybe you&#8217;d rather\u00a0 like to learn\u00a0how to use\u00a0use the SAP Query.<\/p>\n<p>You create a SAP Query the same way as QuickViewer queries. The biggest difference is that you need first to create an\u00a0 InfoSet that forms the basis of every query. Here you select the data source (tables, table joins, logical databases) and define the list and selection fields.\u00a0 The information requirements of the users define the InfoSets.<\/p>\n<p><a href=\"https:\/\/www.esfoor.fi\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2017\/04\/SQ_InfoSet_Salesreport.png\" rel=\"attachment wp-att-513\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"alignnone wp-image-513 size-full\" src=\"https:\/\/www.esfoor.fi\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2017\/04\/SQ_InfoSet_Salesreport.png\" alt=\"SQ_InfoSet_Salesreport\" width=\"983\" height=\"361\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.esfoor.fi\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2017\/04\/SQ_InfoSet_Salesreport.png 983w, https:\/\/www.esfoor.fi\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2017\/04\/SQ_InfoSet_Salesreport-300x110.png 300w, https:\/\/www.esfoor.fi\/en\/wp-content\/uploads\/sites\/3\/2017\/04\/SQ_InfoSet_Salesreport-768x282.png 768w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 983px) 100vw, 983px\" \/><\/a><\/p>\n<p>SAP Query offers a broad range of ways to define\u00a0reports. You can\u00a0create different types of reports such as basic lists, statistics, and ranked lists. You are also able to drill down to documents and treat the problems with signs, You don&#8217;t need coding skills to do this, but it is also possible to add pieces of code to your queries.<\/p>\n<p>Usually a reporting requirement, which the existing standard reports\u00a0\u00a0cannot solve, triggers the need for a\u00a0Query. Before jumping into details you should make a rough sketch. What information\u00a0the report\u00a0should contain, and how it should look. Next you need to find out\u00a0where to find this information. Use Se16 and SQVI to help you. When you have are sure\u00a0of the report, continue with InfoSet definition. Choose the infosource and select the fields. The InfoSet is assigned to a User Group. So, you must already have one or create a new. When all this is ready, you can start to create your query.<\/p>\n<h2>Query environment<\/h2>\n<p>It is not a good idea to do the queries directly in production.\u00a0Usually this is also prevented by IT. Development is not so good either, because there is no data to test the query. You can\u00a0create the queries in the test system. When they pass the tests,\u00a0\u00a0and function without problems, you can copy them to production.
